It is called KINDNESS
I witnessed a random act of kindness today. I feel obligated to tell the world (or the 20 people who read my blog) all about it. It is rare I see kindness by strangers, I try to do my best to say thank you and flash a grateful smile to the rare stranger who opens the door for me while pushing the double stroller through the Target door, or offer a picture coupon I didn't use to the family waiting in the waiting room of the photo studio, so today when I was at a stop light on 40 Highway. I saw on the other side an older woman and what I assume is her daughter struggling to make a right turn, up hill through the slushy, slippery mess of what was yesterday's snow. The poor woman was going back and forth sliding and turning and I am sure a little worried she was going to slip backward and hit the car behind her at the stop light. Then it happened...KINDNESS....A green Ford Taurus operated by what can only be the last kind man on earth, carefully went through the intersection and pulled his car behind the struggling woman, threw the car in park and jumped out. By this time everyone behind him and the woman he is helping are honking (NO NOT HELPING, HONKING!) Nice man gets his grip on the trunk and PUSHES her car out of the snow so she can be on her merry way, she gives him a little wave in the rear view mirror, with arm extended he waves her off as a little 'no problem'. hops back in his green Taurus and off he goes. who knows if she would have had to call a tow truck, crashed into another car behind her, or made it safely on her own but he took action and helped someone out and for a wave and a nod. I think this is amazing and I hear by challenge us all to go out of our way and just be kind. not that we should hop out of cars and push cars around on the street, but think of what you are good at and go for it! This is my thank you to the unnamed man who helped a lady in the street today, it is not much but it did make me happy to witness this kindness so I thought I would share it with my people!

Thank you for sharing. Kindness to strangers is so easy but so uncommon. It's so good to hear.
