and a cute picture of Halsey in her pink sailor dress and ribbon socks.
Today is day 4 of summer school and Jonathan is LOVING it. After school he hops in the car with a big-ole grin and starts the days stories.
First a little catch up...Tuesday Morning I walked him to his class to check out the whole sewage situation, everything was fixed and the whole place smelled of bleach :) Tuesday was a much smoother and better day! when i went to pick him up (also better) he got in, buckled himself, held out his arms wide and said 'look mom i did not get on the bus today" oh so proud! Wednesday morning I told him to take me to his class so I just followed him (hoping to only have to take him to the door next week and not drag the whole gang through school) He found it all by himself he was a little unsure, but that night when he got home we talked about it more and asked him if he knew what to do if he was at school and couldnt find his class. He knows! I am so amazed everyday how big he is and how much he has grown up! when Griffin got up Wednesday morning I noticed he was a little warm took his temp and he was running about 99.6 for him that is hot my kids are not much past 97.3 on a normal day, kept taking his temp every half hour and it kept going up, by the time we were at the Dr office at 10 AM he was 101.9 refusing to eat, wake up, or take Tylenol. He had a nasty cough the night before, Matt said he coughed all night (sleeping in the living room with the baby has some advantage I didn't hear a thing) Dr took a chest x-ray and sure enough bronchitis so home we went home to rest. Today he is feeling better and coughing a little less and eating again so I know he is feeling better for sure. This morning was good to. I am enjoying my time with just Griffin and Halsey I didn't realize Jonathan made so much noise...It is soooo quiet I could almost fall asleep. I am sure that will change too as Halsey wakes up more through the day and Griffin now has the gift of gab. I also enjoy getting up before everyone else taking my shower and getting myself ready for the day before anyone else is awake. It also is cool to be able to take Jonathan to school, park and feed the baby, go get gas and a coke at QT, go to the bank, go to Jack's and sit and eat donuts with Griffin and stop at the farmers market to get Tomatoes and still be home before 10 am. If I can just keep myself from taking a nap with the kids in the afternoon I could really get some stuff done around here. I might even try to go to the grocery store later and take 2/3 of the kids with me see how that works, OK no I wont I spend $100 more if they go on cookies and junk, I will just go tonight after dinner.
Tomorrow Jenn (my friend who lives in Australia) is coming over for a little bit to catch up on the last years events, Yippee! I can't wait to see you Jenn!
*hoping to get some video of Griffin this week. He has so much to say, and is really turning out to be quite the little talker. Who knew...I really think he wanted to build his word bank before he started talking cause as soon as he started talking he could count to 8, and knows hard words like umbrella. amazing to know what is going on in that little noggin!
