We had loads of fun with the family traveling to Wisconsin to see Brett graduate! You did it Brett, you graduated from college and we are so proud of you!!! We drove 582 Miles in 8 1/2 hours to Pewaulkee WI. (wow Iowa is boring) Matt woke me up at 4 am bags were already packed and in the van we just buckled in the kids and drove. We stopped for Breakfast and gas and lunch and gas and kept on going. We got to the hotel about 2 pm and got a room and went up changed into our swim suits and headed for the water park, (oops forgot the camera everytime). Jonathan has nerves of steal this year and went down the water slides all by himself. I am not talking about a baby water slide either I am talking big gushing water grown up slides. Major leap from last year. I guess pouring water in his face in the bathtub really does work....When Marcia, Daryl, Lynsey, and Grandma got there we went there we had some dinner.
Friday we went to Chicago on a train I believe that was called the Metra. Griffin thought it was pretty cool and is still talking about it. We went to Navy Pier and the boys got on the biggest Farris Wheel in the world while grandma and I had Ice cream so I could feed Halsey. I took a pretty picture of the purple sunset off the pier that evening.
Saturday we went to the Milwaukee Zoo with Dennis, Corrina, Dalton, Cody and Grandma. It was a beautiful day! Grandma had a hard time keeping up in Chicago so Dennis got her a electric wheelchair for the Zoo. She was pretty excited about that. The Zoo is pretty neat they have a few things KC zoo doesn't and it is all closer together so you are not walking a hundred different directions. The boys just love seeing the different animals.
Sunday was the Graduation. We got up early and went to Breakfast with Dennis and Corrina Dalton and Cody then headed off for the Ceremony. It went pretty fast and all the kids were really good for having to be quiet for an hour and a half. After Graduation we all went to bd's Mongolian BBQ for a late late lunch. (thanks again Daryl and Marcia) Brett invited a couple of his friends and we all hung out and ate and chatted away. Once we got back to the hotel, Griffin and Halsey were napping so I stayed in the room and started packing a little and let them rest. Daryl and I and Lynsey played Rummicub for a little bit until Matt and Jonathan got back from the Arcade and decided to swim a little more before we had to leave the next day
Monday was the trip home, also a breeze. We left about 6 am and headed home. we were home about 3 pm and unpacked and went to bed early.
So many fun memories! I hope my kids remember this vacation it was one of our best. AND for the first time ever we did NOT have to find an urgent care, we all stayed well!!!!
Congratulations Brett! We love you!!!
