2010 Pumpkin Patch, Cider Mill Trip

Every year for, I think this is the 6th year in a row we have gone to the Cider Mill in Louisburg and The Powell Pumpkin Patch with Aunt Marcia and uncle Daryl. We started in 2004 with a little 2 year old baby Jonathan and every year we take a new member of our family. We love this pumpkin patch not only are the pumpkins reasonably priced and they have a free hayride, hay stacks to play in and a sandbox for the kids. This year they had a corn maze for $2 ( i think it was $1 for the kids) This year the maze had a boy scout tribute for the 100th anniversary of boy scouts of america and there were check points with questions to fill out and once you were done everyone in the group (kids only) got a sucker for getting it all done! It is a good family pumpkin patch and also the pumpkin patch I wet to growing up as a little school girl going on field trips with my class. I sure wish I could find pictures of all the years! but I know I have at least 5 years of the last 6. Next year you should give the Cider Mill and the PPP a try, maybe we will see you there!

Powel Pumpkin Patch and Louisburg Cider Mill

I can't believe it is October! Time for the Cider Mill and Pumpkin Patch with Marcia, Daryl and Lynsey. We went on Friday night after school/work. It worked out great and was actually a pretty good evening to go. First we stopped at the Cider mill for our annual "torture the children for a picture" routine. Then we stop and get donuts and hot cider. After that it was off to the pumpkin patch. We searched and searched for the perfect pumpkin. The kids agreed on one REALLY BIG pumpkin this year instead of one for each of us. BOY did we find a big one! It weighs more than Halsey I know because I cant even pick it up. A quick play in the hay maze and sand and we good to go! Once the sun went down it was pretty chilly so we headed back toward home and stopped at Taco Bueno for Dinner. It was a great time as usual! Thanks for the tradition Marcia & Daryl.
on a side note: I have been forgetting to take the camera or once we get somewhere I am too lazy to get it out and try to get them all to look at me and smile sooooo..that doesn't leave many blog updates if you don't have pictures. PLUS...Since Jonathan is at school I feel bad he is never in the pictures. :(
I will try to do better, I promise.

Pumpkin Time!

Our Annual Trip to Louisburg, KS pictures! all my little pumpkins at Powell Pumpkin Patch, Do you know that I count down until we get to go to the pumpkin patch? I love this more than Christmas. It is the beginning of fall and some of my favorite colors; brown, orange, red, I love it! Next year I have a better plan, we are going to the Cider Mill first for pictures then the pumpkin patch, every year the kid/kids have been too tired by the time we get there they don't want to cooperate for pictures so someone is not looking. This time it is Halsey, I could not get her to look up for ANY pictures. I think I have one of her face and it was because I laid on the ground in the pumpkin patch to get it. We had so much fun , can't wait until next year!!!!
